Homegrown Strawberries

We have good news if you enjoy fresh, delicious, locally-grown strawberries. The 2026 strawberry crop looks good. You buy Hoover’s own strawberries in the market now. However, due to the late spring freeze, our pick-your-own fields will not be open until the first week of June.

The Strawberry season will kick off with Early Glow and Galletta varieties.

The price remains unchanged from last year at $2.75/lb.

You-Pick Strawberries

You-pick strawberries will open the first week of June. Please check back here or call for availability before planning your trip. The first varieties to ripen are Early Glow and Galleta.

Here are a few things to remember when you visit us to pick your own strawberries.

  1. Sign in at the farm market counter before heading to the fields.
  2. If you bring your own containers, bring them to the market when you sign. They will need to be weighed before you begin picking.
  3. Picking is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fields will be closed when the supply runs out.
  4. Fields are open during market business hours.
